– Laboratory of Aquaculture:

Studies on genetic and fish breeding; aquaculture engineering; fish probiotic applications; development of indegenous raw materials for fish feed production

– Laboratory of Fish Health and Environment:

Studies on characterization of pathogens  (parasites, bacteria, viruses) in fish and crustaceans; development of pathogen detection methods; development of vaccines; development of probiotic bacteria (in digestion and environment); development of immunostimulants for grooming and breeding; screening and utilization of bioactive compounds.

– Laboratory of Aquatic Resources Management:

Studies on  identification and biological aspect of aquatic biota; assessment of water quality and development of biofilter; morphological and molecular approach for identification and geographical distribution of aquatic biota; ecosystem approach for fisheries management; evaluation of the damage and costs for coastal rehabilitation.

– Laboratory of Fisheries Social Economic and Fishing Technique

Studies on fisheries data analysis;  management operation of SOPs on marine and fisheries policy; a model of developing integrated fisheries hub; development of eco-friendly fishing gear; analysing and forecasting  fishing area; development of location / rejuvenation of marine ecosystem(fish apartments).

– Laboratory of Fisheries Product Quality and Safety :

Studies on isolation and identification of beneficial microbes/pathogens/spoilage microorganisms from fisheriy products; characterization of microbial growth in handling/processing environment; bioproduction and bioactivity measurement of beneficial metabolites from micro/macroorganisms; microbial enzyme production using molecular approach; asessment of seafood safety and quality; utilization of seafood waste.

– Laboratory of Fish Processing Technology :

Studies on fish gel-based product development; zero waste approach in sefood processing; food product development from Spirulina platensis; develompemnt of nanocapsule carrotenoid from microalgae; development of microemulsion of essential fatty acid from macroalgae; development of nanochitosan; development of functional food from macroalgae; macroalgae application for industry; training program for fish-based and macroalgae-based product processing.– Scuba Diving Unit

Providing scuba diving equipment and training program for basic and scientific diving with licensed instructors.
